Improv for GOOD

Saturday night, November 27th at 7:30 pm

We’ve got a great show for you!

Act II improv was formed by improvisational actors that believe in performing “for good.”  They formed Improv for Good as a way of giving back to the community, making it a central part of the troupe.  While paying forward is important, they also seek to provide a creative outlet for improvisational artists to innovate and grow.

Act II improv has focused developing skills to produce long-form scene based improvisation.  Frequent visitors to their productions coined the phrase “... dramatically comedic” to describe how they weave their humor and dramatic reality.

Death Trap

November 13 - 21

Once the toast of Broadway, Sidney Bruhl is a playwright with a bad case of writer’s block.

Clifford Bradshaw, a student attending Sidney’s writing seminars, shares the draft of a play he has written, DEATHTRAP.  Sidney is sure it will be a smash hit and gets a killer idea!  Simply murder Clifford and pass the play off as his own.

Plot twists abound as fatal fiction becomes fatal fact in this clever, often funny and suspenseful Broadway smash.

Checkout the East Bay Times Review!

“’Deathtrap,‘ a deliciously intriguing murder mystery, is playing through Nov. 21 at the Campbell Theatre, 636 Ward St. in Martinez. Playwright Ira Levin built in many twists and turns to keep the audience guessing and laughing along the way to the end of this cleverly written thriller.”
